The short version

We collect the least we can: your email address so you can sign in and so we can send you account, membership, onboarding and reminder emails, the study material you choose to save, and whether your membership is active. Optional emails can be stopped at any time. We do not sell your data, we do not run advertising, and we do not use your sermon notes to train anyone else’s AI models. You can delete everything at any time.

Who is responsible

Intentionally Formed LLC operates 1440 Bible and is the controller of your data. Contact AvidanSmith@IntentionallyFormed.com with any privacy question or request.

What we collect and why

  • Account details, your email address, and your name and profile photo if you sign in with Google. Used to create and secure your account, to email you about your membership, and to send onboarding and reminder emails you can stop at any time.
  • Your study content, sermon notes you paste, the Scripture matches returned for them, chapters you add to a study, topics you searched, and your daily prayer check-ins. Used only to give the service back to you across your devices.
  • Membership status, your plan, subscription status and renewal date. Payment card details are collected and stored by Stripe; we never receive them.
  • Basic technical data, the requests your browser makes, kept briefly in server logs for security and troubleshooting.

Browsing Scripture, topics, questions and letters signed out requires no account and collects no personal data.

Emails we send you

Once you have an account we use your email address in two ways. First, account and service emails: sign in and password reset, receipts, and membership or billing notices. These are needed to run your account, so they continue while the account exists.

Second, optional membership emails: a welcome and onboarding series when you join, gentle reminders to pick your reading back up if life has pulled you away, and notes about new study features inside the app.

Every optional email carries an unsubscribe link at the bottom, and one tap stops them. You can also switch them off any time on your preferences page. Unsubscribing never affects your account, sermons or study work, and you will still receive essential account and billing emails. We do not sell or rent your email address, and we do not send third party advertising.

How sermon notes are used

When you ask the sermon tool to attach Scripture, your notes are sent to our AI provider solely to identify relevant King James passages, and the result is stored on your account. Notes are not published, not shared with other users, not sold, and not used to train third-party models. Deleting a sermon deletes its notes and results from our database.

Who we share with

Only the service providers needed to run the app: our hosting and database provider, our AI provider for the sermon and question features, and Stripe for payments. Each handles data on our instructions. We also disclose data if the law requires it.

How long we keep it

Your account data and study content are kept while your account exists. Delete a sermon or a study chapter and it is removed immediately. Ask us to delete your account and we remove your personal data within 30 days, apart from billing records we are legally required to retain. Technical logs are kept for a short period only.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, or object to how we use it. Email us and we will respond. If you are in the EEA or UK you may also complain to your local data protection authority.

Cookies and local storage

We use only what the app needs: a sign-in session token, your light or dark theme preference, and, when you are signed out, your study list stored on your own device. No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Security and children

Data is encrypted in transit, access to your rows is restricted to your own account at the database level, and only you can read your sermons. The service is not intended for children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes we will update the date above and notify account holders by email about anything material.
